Kaspersky recommends not using smartphones

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Eugene Kaspersky,ChairmanandCEOofKaspersky Lab awarded by Armenian President in 2015 for the global investment in IT sector, is also a recipient of Armenian National Polytechnic University’s highest award-golden medal. On November 17, Yerevan hosted a meeting where the world-renowned head of the company met with sector representatives and students. "Armenpress" reports that Kaspersky had lecture which focused on the challenges of the digital world and their efforts to combat the mentioned challenges. According to his speech, we live in a world where we depend on digital technologies which are very vulnerable. Everywhere there are attacks on the network. “It is not a surprise that Computer security has become an issue of global significance which is discussed during international economic conferences; super powers discuss them,” Eugene Kaspersky said.

He also spoke about cyber-attacks which are the attack on a variety of systems, such as, for example, financial services, telecommunications.

According to him, people have a wrong opinion that less common viruses are expanded in cell phones, meanwhile, as the specialist claims Cyber attacks on cell phones have multiplied in recent years.

He did not advice to have a smartphone and moreover, not to use banking services via mobile phones.
