Turkey to neutralize Syria's "threat" both in air and in land: Davutoglu

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Turkey has been hit by a wave of terror attacks recently, including the July 20 Suruc bombing that killed 33 people and the Ankara bombings on Oct. 10 that left more than 100 people dead. Since then, Turkish security forces have been carrying out nationwide counter-terrorism operations against PKK at home and abroad, amid a spike in attacks targeting security personnel. Turkey’s Prime Minister and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoglutold about this, as “Armenpress” reports, citing Anadolu agency.

Earlier Turkish Prime Minister’s Office said that U.S. President Barack Obama has congratulated Turkey’s Prime Minister and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoglu on his party’s election victory.

According to the office, Obama made the remarks in a phone call to Davutoglu.

The Turkish premier thanked Obama and said that the results of the election represented thenation's belief in democracy, the statement added.
