Yevgeny Kaspersky - prizewinner of Armenia President Global IT Award 2015

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. The prizewinner of Global Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia for Outstanding Contribution to Humanity through IT (Global IT Award) is head of the global IT security company Kaspersky Lab Yevgeny Kaspersky. “Armenpress” reports that Chairman of GIT Award Committee, Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan informed about it on November 3 during the press conference held at the Presidential Palace, adding that it was the first prize awarded to a representative of the Russian Federation.

Yevgeny Kaspersky is a world-known specialist in cybersecurity and a successful entrepreneur. Kaspersky Lab is considered one of the biggest private cybersecurity firms in the world. It has 40 regional offices in over 200 countries including Armenia.

The President of the Republic of Armenia signed a decree on July 6, 2009 about Global Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia for Outstanding Contribution to Humanity through IT (Global IT Award). The Award consists of a medal, a certificate and a trophy.
