EAEU wants to boost trade with China up to $100 billion

MOSCOW, OCTOBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEC) can increase their trade with China up to $100 billion. At the same time China realizes that cooperation with the EAEU is a priority for itself. Reporter of “Armenpress” informs that Minister of Industry and Agriculture of Eurasian Economic Commission Sergey Sidorsky made such an announcement during the 10th International Conference of Eurasian Development Bank.
“We produce modest high-tech production for the domestic market so we must switch to supply policy for which new investments must be attracted. Implementation of joint projects can be an effective tool for Eurasian Development Bank. For that it is necessary to cooperate with BRICS bank and Asian Development Bank aimed at developing infrastructures. In that regard China is a key player”, the EAEU official said.
Sidorsky also stated the vast opportunities for cooperation with the European Union, mentioning that their EU partners are discussing EEC’s proposal on establishing a unified economic zone.
10th International Conference of Eurasian Development Bank is underway in Moscow within the framework of which strategies of economic, financial and integration spheres are discussed.
