Politologist: EU reconsiders its policy within Eastern Partnership

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, ARMENPRESS. The mandate authorizing negotiations between Armenia and the EU promises new developments in the region.

“It is obvious that the EU attempts to enhance its regional policy, reconsidering the policy it conducts within the Eastern Partnership and treating EaP member countries with individual approach. Besides, giving a mandate for Armenia-EU negotiations attests to the fact that Europe does not plan to give up its activeness in the post-Soviet region,” “Armenpress” reports, political scientist Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan said during his meeting with the journalists on October 19.

On October 12 in Luxembourg 28 EU member countries gave a mandate authorizing negotiations on signing a new agreement between Armenia and the EU.
