CIS Heads of State Council adopts 16 documents

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. CIS heads of states adopted a statement on fighting against terrorism during the summit in Kazakhstan, as well as the CIS member states’ concept of military co-operation until 2020. The two documents, along with other 14 documents, were signed during theextended format session of theCouncilof theCIS Heads of State. “Armenpress” reports the aforementioned referring to TASS news agency.

A statement on the 70th anniversary of the UN and an appeal on the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster were also adopted during the meeting.

Heads of States approved the candidates for the post of the head of CIS anti-terrorism center and the head of air defense coordination committee.

It was also officially formulated thatthe CIS presidency passes on from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan next year. It was decided that the next session of CIS Heads of State Council would be held in Kyrgyzstan on October 16, 2016.
