Interests of 3-million population are incomparable to interests of some corrupt workers

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. The new owner of “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC, head of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan spread a statement emphasizing that he was determined to start uncompromising struggle against corrupt workers and dishonest consumers and would decrease company’s expenses due to reduction of energy losses. The latter would make possible to prevent further increase in electricity prices.

“First of all we intend to modernize transmission network by means of effective investments. We will start uncompromising struggle against corrupt workers and dishonest consumers and will decrease company’s expenses through concentration on internal resources including reduction of energy losses as a result of which it will become possible to prevent further increase in electricity prices. The interests of a 3-million population are undoubtedly of prime importance for us and cannot be compared to the interests of some corrupt workers and dishonest consumers. I made a decision to cover on parity basis with the Government of Armenia, the electricity costs of the general public and small businesses for 2015, compensating the difference between tariffs before and after increase of electricity price on 1st August 2015. We are ready for new approaches, work of new quality and establishment of honest, constructive, partnership relations.
