Merkel is against Turkey’s full-fledged membership in EU

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 8, ARMENPRESS. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said during Wednesday’s evening talk show on the ARD television channel she was against Turkey’s full-fledged membership in the European Union.

"I have always been against Turkey’s full-fledged membership in the European Union and I still hold to this opinion," she said. “Armenpress” reports the aforementioned, referring to TASS.

However, in her words, dialogue with Turkey was needed to solve the migration crisis facing Europe. "Naturally, we need each other," she added.
