Serzh Sargsyan meets with representatives of Armenian organizations and community

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS. On September 30, President Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with the chairmen of the organization “Armenian Assembly of America “, as well as with the chairmen of the office “Hay Dat” and the chairmen of ARF of the USA east coast. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Mass Media andPublic Relations Departmentof the ArmenianPresident'sOffice, the President of the Republic welcomed and considered important the activity of the Armenian organizations in the USA over the issues of Pan-Armenian significance, highly appreciated their role in the development and strengthening of Armenian-American relations, discussed the ongoing activity of the organizations mentioned above, as well as issues referring to their perspective, taking into consideration the new phenomena and challenges in the changing world, which require newly, appropriate approaches and actions.

Serzh Sargsyan introduced the meetings during his working visit to USA and the main accents of his speech, which he gave in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly and the tensed situation being created in the result of the Azerbaijani violation of the ceasefire on Armenian-Azerbaijan borders, and on the Nagorno Karbakh contact line, as well as answered to the questions of the participants to the meeting.

In the evening of September 30, Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with the members of Armenian community in the Armenian embassy in the USA.
