YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. In June 2014, Kiev and the European Union signed a landmark association agreement. The deal is aimed toestablish a closer political and economic association betweenKiev and the European Union. It also gives Ukraine the access tothe European Investment Bank.
“No matter if European nations are ready toaccept Ukraine or not. I'm insisting, the EU cannot survive withoutUkraine. Democratic Ukraine should be inEuropean Union. I'm optimistic enough that my dream can come inforce,” President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said addressing Columbia University inNew York. “Armenpress” reports the aforesaid, referring to Sputnik International.
The agreement will come intoforce once all EU member states, inaddition toUkraine, have ratified it.
