UN Secretary-General expressed his anxiety over tense situation in Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on September 29 when locating in the United States of America to participate in the 7th session of United Nations General Assembly. As “Armenpress was informed from the Mass Media andPublic Relations Departmentof theArmenian president's office, the President congratulated the Secretary-General on the occasion of 70th anniversary, emphasizing that Armenia, becoming a UN member 23 years ago, felt the support of the organization in statehood creation from the very first day. Serzh Sargsyan expressed his accomplishment over the successful end of the general assembly of the program “Transformingourworld: the 2030 AgendaforSustainable Development”, where the UN Secretary-General has his investment.

During the meeting, the negotiation process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution was touched upon. UN Secretary-General expressed his anxiety over the tensed situation giving importance to the conflict resolution by the mediation of OSCE Minsk Co-Chairs.
