GAVAR, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Bordering Chamabarak town of Gegharkunik Province could not escape the activities of the adversary as well. The Mayor of Chambarak, Yura Avalyan, informed “Armenpress” that the artillery shells fired at Chambarak by the enemy during the period from 22:30-23:00 on September 27, exploded on Komitas street damaging the houses N47, 115 and 116.
“The spalls of the shells broke the windows and pierced the walls of the houses N47 and 115, and a section of the roof of N116 house was ruined. Fortunately, there was nobody in those rooms at the moment, otherwise it would be impossible to avoid a tragedy”, the Mayor mentioned.
The Council formed in the Municipality examines the possible scale of the damage.
Despite of the shooting, Chambarak continues to live its normal life. “There are no new shootings, people live their daily life, without panic or alarm, confident on the power and vigilance of our army and border protecting units”, Yura Avalyan added.
