Pianist Nareh Arghamanyan to participate in concert dedicated to Genocide anniversary in Boston

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. Pianist Nareh Arghamanyan is convinced that every instrument seems to be a bright personality like the man. According to the young musician’s speech, the pianist should be “transparent” in order to play the instrument. “Armenpress” interviewed Nareh Arghamanyan about the instrument, programs, about the concerts dedicated to the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and over other issues.

The pianist should not say that the instrument is bad…

The pianist should evaluate each instrument and it is not important whether the instrument is good or bad. I think that the pianist should not say that the instrument is bad because it is very easy to blame the instrument. The pianist should try to reproduce his or her minds and emotions with the help of the instrument.

Playing the piano is a means of self-expression. White and black keys are a cover of minds, emotions and colors. Black and white keys contain much more colors in them than the man can think.

The 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

I participated in several concerts dedicated to the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. I will play in Boston with the Philharmonic Orchestra on October 18. It is a concert dedicated to the Genocide anniversary: I will play Piano Concerto number 1 by Shostakovich, and in the second part Mansurian’s “Requiem” will be played. Maestro will be present to the concert. It is planned one concert in Germany on December and I will play Ravel Piano Concerto.
