Parajanov exhibition opens in Brussels

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. An exhibition featuring the works of both Sergey Parajanov and Sarkis opened today at the Villa Empain in Brussels. It is the first time ever that Parajanov’s work is on display in the European capital.

“Armenpress” Brussels' correspondent informs that the exhibition has been organized by Boghossian Foundation.

The exhibition shows the artistic diversity of the two Armenian artists who both seamlessly go from one art from to another. Sarkis, who resides in France, has been fascinated by Parajanov ever since he saw his film Sayat Nova in Paris.

The organizers intend the exhibition to be a dialogue between two artistic worlds, which will show the works of both artists in a fresh light. The exhibition is ongoing until 24 January 2016.
