Armenian president expressed his condolences on Armen Movsisyan`s demise

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS. The president of the Republic of Armenia expressed his deepest sorrow to Movsisyan`s family, relatives and friends on well-known state figure Armen Movsisyan`s premature demise. Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the President‘sStaffofthe Republic ofArmenia informed “Armenpress” about this.

On September 21, 2015, at the age of 54 years, Former MinisterofEnergyandNatural Resources,Advisorto the Presidentof theRepublicofArmenia Armen Movsisyan deceased.

Armen Movsisyan was born on January 13, 1962 in Kapan city. He graduated from theState Engineering University of Armeniain 1983 and the All-Union Institute of Light Industry in 1989.

He worked in Kapan knitting factory from 1983-1991 as a master, taskmaster, head of production, and also asdeputy director-general.

From 2000-2001, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Armenia, inJuly-December 2001, the position of Deputy ChairmanofState Committee of Water Economy adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

From 2001-2008 he held the position of Minister of Energy of the Republic of Armenia , from 2008-2014, the position of MinisterofEnergyandNatural Resources.

From May 7 2014 he was the Advisor to the President.

Armen Movsisyan was a candidate of technical sciences and an author of several monographs and a number of scientific articles.
