YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. St. Sarkis Armenian Catholic Church in Diyarbekir Sur district was hit severely during the shooting that occurred in the period of the 30-hour curfew. Presidentof theArmenianAssociation ofMesopotamiaArat Karagozyan informed “Armenpress” that as a result of the police operations, the doors of the Church were broken, and the stone with the note about the establishment date of the Church was removed from the entrance.

“We have been caused huge damage. Our organization collaborates with the Mesopotamia Bar Association to prepare a report on the incident”, Karagozyan mentioned, adding that they plan to file a lawsuit against the vandalism of the Turkish police.
