Europa League: Borussia Dortmund defeats Krasnodar

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Borussia Dortmund won over Krasnodar with a score 2-1 in Thursday night's kick-off to the 2015-16 UEFA Europa League group stages.

As “Armenpress” informs, referring to bleacher report, Thomas Tuchel's side were considered strong favourites ahead of the tie, yet following a reshuffle of his first team—which went on to include a number of reserve players—the game itself was far more balanced and finely poised than initially predicted.

An opening goal from Pavel Mamaev in the 12th minute caused quite the uproar in the Westfalenstadion, yet a header from Matthias Ginter just before half-time brought things back to normality.

The Russian side looked as though they may have nicked a point as the game moved into the final moments, before a diving header from left-back Joo-Ho Park poked Dortmund ahead before the final whistle.
