Arman Sahakyan: Casino will be built in construction area near Karen Demirchyan Complex in case of 100 million USD investment

YEREVAN, AUGUST 25, ARMENPRESS. No casino will be constructed in the territory of Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. The construction activities will be carried out in the nearby territory of the roadway leading from “Hrazdan” stadium to Leningradyan Street. “Armenpres” reports that the Head of the Department of State Property Management by the Government of the Republic of Armenia Arman Sahakyan informed the aforementioned during his meeting with the journalists.

“The construction activities will not in any way distort the architectural appearance of Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex. The essence of the project lies in giving new impetus to the complex and making it one of the most active parts of the capital. The investment project will be realized under the strict control of Department of State Property Management.”, noted Sahakyan in reply to the journalists’ questions.

According to him any construction will contribute to the preservation of the complex. The law does not forbid the construction of a casino in the construction area if the constructor assumes responsibility of making an investment of 100 million dollars. “The expenses of the complex are too big and the state cannot cover those expenses.”, announced Arman Sahakyan.
