Dortmund wins in first leg of UEFA Europa League playoff

YEREVAN, AUGUST 21, ARMENPRESS. Borussia Dortmund had a hard win in UEFA Europa league playoff match against Norwegian football club “Odd”. Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored a late winner as Borussia Dortmund came from three goals down to beat Tippeligaen side Odd 4-3 in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League playoff qualifier at the Skagerak Arena. Armenpress reports, referring to espnfc.com, that Borussia Dortmund rallied from a shocking three-goal deficit to win 4-3 at Odd Grenland in the Europa League playoff round first leg on Thursday.

Jone Samuelsen scored after just 13 seconds for the Norweigan side, with Fredrik Nordkvelle doubling the advantage on 19 minutes. A free kick by Espen Ruud three minutes later gave Odd a 3-0 lead before Dortmund -- playing without star Marco Reus -- were able to regroup. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started the comeback by scoring on a rebound in the 34th minute to make it 3-1 at the break. Shinji Kagawa scored on a volley two minutes into the second half to cut the deficit to one and Aubameyang equalised in the 76th minute. Henrikh Mkhitaryan found the winner with a header six minutes from time to give the German side a hard-fought advantage entering their return leg.
