Iran may play a major role in Armenia’s economy: economist and political expert agree

YEREVAN, AUGUST 5, ARMENPRESS. The elimination of the West’s sanctions on Iran may have a positive impact on the further development of the Armenia-Iran relations. Armenia should use properly its geographical position and study the Iranian market on time. This conclusion belongs to the economist Vilen Khachatryan and the political expert Levon Shirinyan, who, in the talk with Armenpress, commented on the development prospects of the Armenian-Iranian relations and the impact of the integration processes on the expansion of the bilateral ties.

“Iran may play a major role in the economy of Armenia and the Armenians should use their geographical position to get into the center of economic developments.We may say that the issues of the sanctions elimination have not yet got a final solution and some sanctions might repeat”, - stated Vilen Khachatryan.

The political expert Levon Shirinyan believes that the development of the Armenia-Iran relations may bring to serious economic developments for Armenia and become a window for Iran to the Christian world.
