Davutoğlu first to meet Kemalists for negotiations over coalition

YEREVAN, JULY 10, ARMENPRESS. The Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu, whom President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has officially assigned to form a government, informed the timetable of the meetings with the leaders of other parties represented in the Majlis. As informs “Armenpress”, the information comes from the Turkish “Anadolu” agency.

Davutoğlu informed that the first meeting will be held with the Kemalist Republican People’s Party on July 13, then, on July 14, with ‘National Movement” party, and on July 15, with the Kurdish People’s Democratic party.

As during the parliamentary election held on July 7 neither party managed to obtain an absolute majority of votes for forming a single-party government, the parties represented in the Majlis must come to an agreement over the formation of a coalition government within 45 days after the President’s assignment. If within 45 days no government is formed, untimely parliamentary election will be held in the country.
