YEREVAN, 19 JUNE, ARMENPRESS. Ankara is facing a serious strategic dilemma: how to restore relations with Yerevan without offending Baku. According to the assessment of Amanda Paul - senior analyst at the European Policy Center - it is impossible to achieve the opening of the Armenia -Turkish border without involving Baku in the process of improving the relations. “ If Azerbaijan isn’t included, the whole process can fail again’’, as ‘’Armenpress” reports, said Paul at the NATO PA Rose-Roth seminar, adding that it isn’t clear yet, exactly how Baku must be involved. Paul stresses that Armenia-Turkey protocols failed because of Azerbaijan, as Turkey underestimated Baku’s reaction and for that reason Turkey changed its position. The European analyst mentioned that Turkey suffered because of the failure of Armenia-Turkey protocols.
