YEREVAN, JUNE 16, ARMENPRESS.The size of the damage caused by the flood in Georgia will reach 100 million laries (about 45 million dollars). As Armenpress informs, this was said by Kakha Kaladze - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Georgia.

Prime Minister of GeorgiaIrakli Garibashvili had earlierassessed the damage from flooding in Tbilisi 40millionlaris (18milliondollars) but later Nodar Khaduri – Minister of Finance of Georgia - said that the damage will exceed the announced sum greatly.

"We are talking about hundreds of millions, and the first thing to do is to set up a commission and assess the size of damage," - said Kaladze.

The Deputy Prime Minister Kakha Kaladze highlighted that the damage may be up to a hundred million. Kakha Kaladze also spoke about the affected citizens, and said that part of the damaged houses would be rebuilt, while others could be rehabilitated. Georgia has already applied for assistance to foreign countries and donor organizations whose representatives have personally got familiar with the consequences of the flood.

The flood took place in Georgia in the night of June 14. As Interfax reports, according to the latest information, 15 people are dead and seven are missing.
