Corpse of Russian serviceman found in Gyumri: criminal case filed

YEREVAN, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS. A soldier of the Russian Military Base #102 in Armenia was found dead at the Mother Armenia monument in Gyumri, in the neighborhood of the military base. “Traces of violence were found on the body of the military serviceman (there were wounds caused by a sharp instrument on the serviceman’s body). A criminal case has been filed in regard to this case. An investigation is being carried out and all the necessary measures are being taken to reveal the circumstances of the case,” Press Secretary of the President of the Investigative Committee told this in an interview with Armenpress. The dead soldier served in Gyumri’s Russian Military Base #102. The reporter of Armenpress informs from the crime site that the corpse is still in the site. The officers of Police and Prosecutor’s Office are working in the site. The representatives of Gyumri’s Russian Military Base #102 have also arrived at the site.
