Turkologist forecasts Turkey will move from deadend to crisis

YEREVAN, JUNE 8, ARMENPRESS. In accordance with the preliminary results of Turkey’s parliamentary elections, a new political environment has been formed in the country. Notwithstanding, the ruling AKP received the majority of the votes, in comparison with the previous years, the ruling party lost taking the country from the deadend to crisis. Turkologist Levon Hovsepyan stated this in a conversation with “Armenpress”.

Among other things, Levon Hosvepyan underscored that he qualifies the recorded results as a defeat of the ruling party, due to which the line of future ambitions of that power and its leaders has been interrupted.

“Edrogan had huge ambitions particularly about the constitutional reforms and change of the country’s political system, but now, if those issues do not sink into oblivion, so to speak, then their prospects have become too misty now,” Levon Hosvepyan concluded.
