Armenia’s National Assembly to establish “Parliamentarians against Genocide” inter-parliamentary platform for international cooperation

YEREVAN, 19 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The Parliament of the Republic of Armenia is planning on establishing an inter-parliamentary platform for international cooperation called “Parliamentarians against Genocide”. This is whatleader of the faction of the Republican Party of Armenia of the National Assembly Vahram Baghdasaryanannounced during the hour of announcements at the National Assembly.“We urge the Members of Parliaments of all countries having made efforts to fight against the crime of genocide to coordinate the struggle of the international community for condemnation and prevention of genocides and participate in the establishment of this platform,”Baghdasaryan mentioned, as “Armenpress” reports.

He expressed confidence that the active participation of parliamentarians and international organizations in the prevention of genocides will be more appreciated through the future platform.“People in the modern world still have questions regarding politics, laws and values, and joint discussions on such issues could be considered the key objective of the “Parliamentarians against Genocide” inter-parliamentary platform for international cooperation,”Baghdasaryan concluded.
