Moscow court to examine legality of keeping Levon Hayrapetyan under house arrest

YEREVAN, 13 MAY, ARMENPRESS. On May 25, the Moscow City Court will examine the legality of keeping under house arrest of one of the figurants of "Bashnevt" case the Armenian businessman Levon Hayrapetyan. As “Armenpress reports, the representative of the court Anna Fadeevan informed RIA Novosti about it.

By the mediation of the investigator, Hayrapetyan’s house arrest deadline is defined till July 28, the lawyers appealed against verdict.

Previously it was reported that the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation arrested Russia-resident rich Armenian businessman Levon Hayrapetyan. Levon Hayrapetyan was detained on July 15 in Domodedovo Airport, where the airplane landed from Monaco.

The law enforcement authorities suspect Levon Hayrapetyan of having connections with the band led by criminal authority Sergey Finagin.

According to the investigation, Hayrapetyan has dual citizenship and property in abroad. Particularly, in recent times he has lived in Monaco. The investigation proved by this case the necessity of keeping him in the investigative isolation-cell. In early October, the businessman has moved to house arrest. Hayrapetyan's lawyer said earlier that his client's condition has deteriorated, and asked them to release him.
