Giggles the pig is running for mayor in Michigan

YEREVAN, 8 MAY, ARMENPRESS: The mayoral race in Flint, Michigan is getting hog wild thanks to a write-in candidate. Armenpress reports, citing the Detroit Sun Times that Giggles the Pig is officially running for mayor of Vehicle City, thanks to efforts by local lawyer Michael Ewing, according toCBS Detroit.

In a Facebook post Tuesday, Ewing said sorry that the sorry state of Flint politics, from having a convicted murder as a candidate to not being able to get names on the ballot, were reasons why Giggles in making a run.

“It started because one of the city council members, who was convicted of murder, announced he was running for mayor,” Ewing writes. “I am pretty forgiving, but it I am really strongly opposed to murder—and think electing a mayor who was convicted of murder sends a bad message about our city. Not to mention the embarrassing letters he has written about Flint.”

We also have a mayoral candidate who was recently convicted for driving his car while drunk on the highway with three flat tires—while driving the wrong direction on the highway,” Ewing continues. ” This same mayoral candidate has been thrown out of council meeting because he cannot behave himself. Flint deserves better candidates than this. While reading about these people it occurred to me that Giggles would be a more dignified candidate—and I’m right.”

At the end of the post Ewing says he wants to see how many likes the Facebook page can get. As of this writing, it had 708.

As for her political stances? Ewing says Giggles “doesn’t care” about marijuana.

Fortunately for Giggles, she’s a girl. That means she doesn’t have toworry too muchabout Joni Ernst.
