Italian president advices to read Dostoyevsky to understand life

ROME, AUGUST 10, ARMENPRESS. The President of Italy Sergio Mattarella advised the Italian youth to read Russian classic Fyodor Dostoyevsky. “Armenpress” report citing Corriere della Sera that the President told during the meeting with the youth that he likes all genres of literature with the exception of books with spying contents.

“I fully respect the choice of all of you, but I will tell you what I always tell my grandchildren. Books are inexhaustible resources to understand life. Start with Dostoyevsky and you will see that you do not know much about life”, said the 74-year old head of the country, adding that he enjoyed reading from childhood and Fyodor Dostoyevsky was exactly the one who greatly influenced his worldview and ideology.
