Hundreds of Serj Tankian’s fans have gathered at Republic Square

YEREVAN, 21 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Hundreds of fans of lead singer of the world famous rock band System of a Down Serj Tankian are standing in front of Armenia Marriott Hotel at Republic Square where the band members are staying. In interviews with “Armenpress”, the fans said they had been waiting for Tankian’s concert in Yerevan for a long time, and most of them said their dreams had come true.“He’s a true Armenian, a great person. He’s doing a great deed for his country and nation. With his April 24thconcert, he will urge the world once again to recognize the Armenian Genocide and condemn all crimes against humanity. We admire his courageous act and are inspired by his music,”Tankian’s fan, Marine Grigoryan said.

Some of the members of the band were following their fans from their windows. The fans got more excited and started performing the band’s hit songs and screamed the names of the band members from time to time.
