Armenia's Prosecutor hosts GRECO delegation

YEREVAN, APRIL 16, ARMENPRESS: In the framework of the monitoring process “Groupof Statesagainst corruption(GRECO)”, the fourth stage of the GRECO’s evaluation of Armenia is in process. In the framework of the subject “Preventing corruption among parliament members, judges and prosecutors”, the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia Gevorg Kostanyan hosted the GRECO delegation.

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Armenia informed Armenpress that Gevorg Kostanyan stressed that consistent daily work is necessary so that the public trusted the system. The Prosecutor's Office launched the fight against corruption from the Prosecutor's Office in the first place. The elimination of corruption is one of the prior issues of the Prosecutor's Office.

The Armenia’s Prosecutor General noted that criminal cases of the officials, taking bribes, are under his direct supervision and constant attention, and we can state that positive developments are evident in the recent period.
