Chilean Parliament adopts Armenian Genocide reaffirming resolution

YEREVAN, APRIL 15, ARMENPRESS: The Parliament of Chile has just recognized the Armenian Genocide minutes ago. The Head of Staff of the Armenian President’s Office Vigen Sargsyan made a note in his Facebook profile about it.“We remember and demand”,- wrote Vigen Sargsyan, Armenpress reports. The Head of Staff at the same time informed that it is a reaffirming document, as in 2007 the Chilean Senate had already adopted a Genocide recognizing bill.

On June 5 2007 the Senate of Chile adopted unanimously a bill, recognizing the Armenian Genocide and appealed to its government to support the UN subcommission's 1985 report, which was to describe this crime against the humanity as a clear example of genocide.
