Divine Liturgy served dedicated to Centennial of Armenian Genocide in Spain

YEREVAN, 14 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. On 13 April, a Divine Liturgy was served dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the royal "Almudena" temple of Madrid. The Archbishop of Madrid Carlos Osoro Sierra served the Holy Liturgy by the participation of the representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Spain. The Department of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that the members of the Spanish Congress and Senate, senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, ambassadors accredited to Spain, diplomats, Spanish intellectuals, journalists and representatives of the Armenian community attended the Mass.

In his speech Archbishop Osoro noted that the Divine Liturgy is devoted to the Armenians who survived the tragedy and infernal sufferings. The Archbishop pointed out that a memory about past gathered the attendees. He added that the current situation in the Middle East and in the world's hot spots is a result of indifference and consequence of remaining silence.
