Armenia's Ambassador to Canada opened "Blood for memory" initiative

YEREVAN, 14 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. On April 12, an initiative titled “Blood for Memory” was launched dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Toronto-Canada. The Department of the Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress, that the initiative is being implemented by the Armenian-Canadian Medical Association of Ontario and the Armenia’s Embassy to Canada in collaboration with the Canadian Blood Service.

The initiative aims at collecting 1.5 million pint blood during 2015 to mark the number of the Armenian Genocide victims. The initiative was launched in Armenian Center of Toronto. Armenia’s Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan opened the event and he is the first person who gave blood.

The initiative will be continued in various cities of Canada.
