National Public Radio covers the Armenian Genocide

YEREVAN, 8 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. During its April 8 morning program, the National Public Radio prepared a seven-minute program devoted to the Armenian Genocide. As “Armenpress” reports, the National Public Radio hosted Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oxford Eugene Rogan, who is also the author of the book “The Fall of the Ottomans”.

The speaker gave a historical background of the Armenian Genocide, which was perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire during the years of the First World War.“According to the testimonies presented during the trials, the Young Turks had given verbal instructions to annihilate the Armenians. During the deportations, they would separate men from women, kill the men and exile the women to places in such conditions under which few could survive,”the author of the book mentioned.
