Armenian Genocide eyewitness/survivors of provinces provided with medicine and medical accessories

YEREVAN, 1 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Within the framework of the events dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, the coordinating council of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia is providing medical assistance to eyewitness/survivors of the Armenian Genocide. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, on April 1, the ministry organized a visit to Armavir Province, which has the highest population of eyewitness/survivors. The delegation was led by chairman of the coordinating council, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Mirijanyan. The eyewitness/survivors of the province were provided with medicine and medical accessories, according to the prescriptions.

During the visits in Yerevan and the provinces, the professionals carry out the necessary checkups and draw up the medical descriptions of the eyewitness/survivors. The “Union of Nurses of Armenia Association” NGO also provides assistance by providing caretakers. Those in need of medical assistance and residing in Yerevan are under the constant supervision of doctors at the “Surp Grigor Lusavorich”, and those in the provinces are under the constant supervision of doctors at regional medical centers.
