YEREVAN, 1 APRIL, ARMENPRESS.Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyansays the ruckus over the “Forget Me Not flowers” is nonsensical. During an April 1 press conference at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, the minister mentioned that“we, as a society, still haven’t developed a culture of worshiping and using our state and national emblems”.
“This is clear to see even without the Forget Me Not flower. I don’t understand the comments with “Smileys” by people criticizing the decoration of this or that school or building. Perhaps people aren’t using the logo for the Armenian Genocide correctly and are exaggerating. We exaggerate a little and go after the principals of those schools. There is no sense in trying to find new scandals concerning the Forget Me Not flower. It would be easier to approach the people and tell them not to do what they’re doing. We have to fix the problem, not put on a show,”Armen Ashotyan mentioned, as “Armenpress” reports.
