STEPANAKERT, 23 MARCH, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian people have a very important mission at the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and after that. It has to find balm for pain, at the same time spreading peace and kindness, to hold back the people from Genocides. Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church addresses this message to the Armenian people.
In a conversation with “Armenpress”, the Archbishop stresses that first of all, the Armenian people must be consolidated, become more powerful and able to reestablish the historic justice. “We should struggle by the whole nation to achieve this goal. The restoration of historical justice is necessary not only for Armenians, but for all the peoples of the world to prevent the repetition of the crimes against humanity. We are peaceful people, we want peace and we have to struggle to establish peace. This is the willingness of our nation and we should exert effort for it”, Archbishop says, adding that everyone within the limits of his capacity and ability should contribute to the establishment of the state and implementation of this idea.
“Making effort is the most balm to confront the pain to prevent its repetition. Not to stare at the pain, but understand how to heal that pain. We should be in the role of the healer. We should think about our present and future and care of the study of our generation. The misfortune must help us to learn from the lessons of life. Yes, we are not to be blamed for the genocide, but it happened to us, we should understand why and how it happens, what we should do for they are never repeated again," his Grace underscored, adding that we still learn from the lessons of life.
