World's heaviest book unveiled in India

YEREVAN, 20 MARCH, ARMENPRESS: Abookin English on the Buddha's life by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, which was translated into Hindi and etched into a stainless steel tome weighing a whopping 2,000 kg, was on Wednesday inaugurated at a public event at the GIC ground in Agra, Armenpress reports, citing the Times of India.

The 24-page book has the whole text of the 400-page 'Buddha and His Dhamma' and a huge crowd of 35,000 people came at the inauguration, which was done during an event called 'Dhamma Kaarvan'.

Dhamma Kaarvan is organized every year on March 18 to commemorate Ambedkar's visit to Agra in 1956. 'Buddha and His Dhamma', which is being touted as the world's heaviest book, was dedicated to the crowd that had gathered here from all over the country.
