YEREVAN, 18 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The formation of the Armenian-Turkish economic collaboration might be more realistic, but there were no signals from Turkey even when the Republic of Armenia was negotiating with the European Union. Thus the Minister of Economy of Republic of Armenia Karen Chshmaritya responded to the Turkish journalist’s question, who has arrived from Ankara, asking to what extent it is possible that the Turkish investors make investment in Armenia without any establishment of diplomatic relations.
"There were no signals from turkey not only in the sense of collaboration, but that they are ready to change their approaches, also their rhetorical speech. There was not a signal that they are ready to open the border. Yes, the Turkish products are sold in Armenia, but it is not possible to see Armenian goods in Turkey. So, he also can voice the question if Turkey is ready to cooperate," as “Armenpress” reports Chshmarityan underscored, adding that Turkey is that country which does not recognize Armenia as a member of the World Trade Organization. And perhaps we should start right there.
