Lukashenko awards Armenian public figure with Francysk Skaryna medal

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17, ARMENPRESS: Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko awarded the Francysk Skaryna medal to the Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Armenia Eduard Militonyan. Armenpress reports, citing BelTA News Agency that the press service of the Belarusian President informed about it. The relevant decree was signed by President Alexander Lukashenko on 16 February.

The medal hasbeen presented in recognition of the significant contribution to closer cultural and humanitarian ties and to the development of international cooperation in information and publishing, and for the promotion of the Belarusian culture and literature abroad.

Lukashenko awarded the Francysk Skaryna medals also to Chingiz Aliyev, the head of the publishing sector of the department for publishing, advertizing, and information at the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Azerbaijan and Vyacheslav Ignatenko, a member of the Moldovan Artists' Union, deputy chairman of the national public association Belarusian Community in the Republic of Moldova.
