BUCHAREST, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS: The Agency for Organized Crime and Fight Against Terrorism of Romania again applied to the President of the country and the Senate, requesting to waive the immunity of the Senator, the former economy minister Varuzhan Voskanian. The Armenpress correspondent reports about it from Bucharest.
In 2013 the Senate of Romania had already declined the application of the Prosecutor General to waive the parliamentary immunity and prosecute Varuzhan Voskanian. After that Voskanian resigned from the position of the minister, explaining his decision with the wish not to put the government’s activities under doubt.
