Vardan Petrosyan sentenced to 5 years in prison

YEREVAN, 29 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. The court of general jurisdiction of Kotayk Province acknowledged actor Vardan Petrosyan as guilty for the car accident that took place on 20 October 2013, sentencing him to 5 years in prison, depriving him of the right to use means of transportation for 2 years. As “Armenpress” reports, this became clear after Judge Vaghinak Mkrtchyan of the court of general jurisdiction of Kotayk Province announced his verdict on January 29.

Detention will be counted starting from 6 November 2013 upon entry into force of the verdict.

The civil lawsuits regarding reparations for damages that the injured party had presented against Vardan Petrosyan were not discussed.
