YEREVAN, DECEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS. By the recent intensification of the ceasefire regime violations, Azerbaijan tries to detract its people’s attention from difficult socio-economic situation. Davit Babayan, the Spokesperson to the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, stated this in a conversation with “Armenpress”.

Among other things, Davit Babayan underscored: “Their behavior can be explained by several circumstances. First of all, it’s their essence, they are aggressive and fascist. It’s natural that such a state is aggressive both inside the country and outside. Also, the reduction of oil prices is a huge blow at the Azerbaijani economy, which is entirely dependent on oil. In this regard, a number of social and economic difficulties are expected.

Therefore, an attempt is made to develop the image of an external enemy to detract its people’s attention from socio-economic issues. They are trying to keep people in such situations, so that people would not pay attention on internal developments.”
