U.S. Co-Chair of Minsk Group comments on meeting with Karabakh's Parliament Speaker

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. The U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick values his discussions with all sides in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. As reports “Armenpress” citing Azerbaijani APA agency, the U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick stated this reflecting on his meeting with the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Ashot Ghulyan.

Among other things, the U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick underscored: “We discussed the importance of reducing tensions in the aftermath of the November 12 incident along the Line of Contact, and the need for the sides to make progress in negotiations on a lasting settlement.”

Previously it was reported that the President of the National Assembly of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Ashot Ghulyan arrived in Washington on November 30 with a working visit. The press service of the National Assembly of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic informed Armenpress that on December 1 Ashot Ghulyan met with the US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick. During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the latest developments in the region and other issues, related to the peaceful settlement process of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.

On the same day Ashot Ghulyan met with the co-chairof theCongressional Caucus onArmenianIssues and theCongressionalCoastalCaucus Frank Pallone. During the meeting the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the expansion of the cooperation between the US Congress and the National Assembly of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and the implementation of the US humanitarian aid programs.

Ashot Ghulyan presented the US Congressman the consequences of the provocative actions, taken by the Azerbaijani side in the Artsakh borders and thanked in this context the US congressmen for the statements condemning the downing of the Karabakh Air Forces helicopter.
