Social network users urge Google to place special doodle on April 24, 2015

YEREVAN, 2 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. As we approach the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, social network users are urging Google to place a special doodle on April 24, 2015. With that doodle and the #ArmenianGenocideDoodle hashtag, users wish to let the world know about one of the dark pages of world history. The creator of the new doodle is web designer, programmer Vanand Mkrtchyan.

“Since Google is currently the main source of information for everyone, I simply wanted to let the international community know about that dark page in history through this doodle. However, it turns out that it’s not that easy. Google views this as very political, and that’s why it hasn’t placed the doodle to this day,” Mkrtchyan mentioned in an interview with “ArmenPress”.
