Warlick urges Karabakh conflict sides to show restraint

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS: The U.S. co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick expressed an opinion that the downing of the Armenian helicopter on November 12 was a tragedy that must be avoided in the future. Armenpress reports that Warlick told about it during the talk with the Azerbaijani APA Agency.

“We have seen the reports about the operation to recover the bodies of the crew members killed in the November 12 downing of a training helicopter along the Line of Contact. We urge the parties to show restraint and refocus their efforts on negotiating a peaceful and lasting settlement to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Further violence and retaliation will undermine peace talks and impede the resolution of humanitarian issues that arise as a result of the conflict”, - said the diplomat.
