YEREVAN, 19 NOVEMBER, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has received the delegation led by President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus Yiannakis Omirou. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia reports to “ArmenPress”, greeting the guest, the Prime Minister mentioned that warm and friendly relations have been historically established between Armenia and Cyprus and that such high-level official visits contribute to the reinforcement and expansion of the bilateral ties. “Our nations are linked to each other with centuries-old relations, which serve as a firm basis for the strengthening and future development of interstate relations, trade and economic relations, as well as the current relations in the military, education and cultural sectors,” the head of government mentioned.
Yiannakis Omirou praised the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus and viewed it as dynamic, highlighting the fact that the efforts of the Cypriot-Armenian community also contribute to that a lot. Hovik Abrahamyan expressed gratitude for the Cypriot authorities’ respect and generosity towards the Armenian community.
