EU to allocate €140-170 million to Armenia

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS: The European Union and the Republic of Armenia are willing to continue the cooperation in the fields of mutual interest. The European Commissionerfor European Neighborhood PolicyandEnlargementNegotiations Johannes Hahn met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Karen Chshmarityan. Armenpress was informed about it from the European Commission.

“We assist the modernization efforts of the countries and will continue encouraging the necessary reforms in Armenia”, - said the Commissioner Hahn.

The European Commissionerfor European Neighborhood PolicyandEnlargementNegotiations and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding, putting a base for the EU-assisted program, in the basis of which are the strategic objectives and priorities for the further cooperation in 2014-2017 with the allocation of €140-170 million.
