Ministry of Justice introduced its standpoints on 12 complaints against Armenia in ECtHR

YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, ARMENPRESS. During this year the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has introduced legal standpoints to the European Court of Human Rights on 12 complaints against the Republic of Armenia in the European Court. Speaking to reporters, Deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan said, that the Ministry closely cooperates with the ECtHR.

"It is no coincidence that recently a new department has been established in the structure of the Department of Relations with the European Court of Human Rights within the Ministry of Justice. It will be engaged in the performance of the ECtHR's verdicts and the implementation of the European legal standards in the Armenian legal system," as reports "Armenpress", mentioned Arman Tatoyan.

The new department will also be responsible for the development of new laws based on the human rights standards of the Council of Europe, as well as for the implementation of the legal practice of the ECtHR.
